Date : 13 November 2016
Number of folks :
1) San on a RE350 Classic
2) Me on Himalayan
Started : At 7am from Kodigehalli gate.
As expected, a lot of Harleys and Triumphs and Japanese higher CC bikes on the way. Something to watch them fly by in real \m/. Wonder what the owners do for a living here.
Breakfast at a small make-shift like restaurant, some 1-2km (not to sure, not far) after the left cut for Nandi Hills along the Highway. Thatte idli and bonda. Bonda was awesome!! :-). Cheap and nice. Just that the whole setup does not look very fancy.
Reached destination at 9ish, I think?
Worth a one-time visit. Really old architecture and things. You could take a walk and enjoy the calm. Wasn't crowded on a Sunday, which was nice.
Took the road to Sathya Sai Grama nearby. There was some mining or the like activity going on. Some nice mud roads and stuff made by JCBs and tractors. Had fun riding Himalayan :-) -> stand up and shoot. Boy, the bike can give you an orgasm on those terrains!
Returned a while later. On the way back, took another detour from the highway to some random cut-road on the lest - attempt to find another off-road trail- and somewhere on the way found this Shri 108 Bhagwan Parshwanath Jain Temple. San found the architecture interesting, so we stopped and thought of checking it out. Was nice and came and beautiful again. They serve lunch there - 65 per meal - Rajasthani style. Sounded interesting, so we tried. Quite a variety if you haven't tried Rajasthani cuisine yet. I hadn't and so it was cool.
Hit the road again around 12:30. Tried what the Himalayan could offer in speed. 120kmph was easy and with some time, climbed to 130. Dint push beyond that. Another day, may be. Got the chain tightened at the CVS service center on the way back.
Overall, satisfactory dose of adrenaline for a Sunday.
